Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
The assessments of Hawkshaw at 10 are wildly premature. The guy has played in six matches for less than two hours pitch time. Of that, 80 minutes or so were spent at outhalf across three or four games. To make any kind of judgement on whether he is or isn't going to be an outhalf for Leinster based ...

We're doing a lot of "load shoot aim" stuff out there

Nige backs me up! https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/its-100-per-cent-knock-19932005 I've been a fan of Nigel's refereeing for a long time, but he does tend to referee on feels and not on the laws - and he got exposed on this quite badly on twitter last weekend when a barrister to...

Re: 6 Nations 2021
I can’t link it at the moment but at the end of the law it says something about hitting the ground or another player for it to be a knock on but it’s not clear (to me at least) if those two elements are always taken into account or if it can be knocked on before those things come into play. Not bei...

Re: Tighthead Prop going forward
Might also be a bit of horse trading with the IRFU - if you move Porter to LH you can sign a new NIQ TH. But why, what would be the sense to it? We already have two of the best tighthead props in Europe certainly, if not the world. An NIQ signing wouldn't be playing in any of the games they're avai...

Re: Tighthead Prop going forward
I really can't see how you have come to the conclusion the Porter isn't all that good at loosehead? By watching him play at loosehead. Where he wasn't as good as Dooley or Byrne. And by his own admission wasn't enjoying his rugby. I don't think it's accurate to say that Byrne and Dooley haven't pro...

Re: Tighthead Prop going forward
Is this necessary? We have - excluding Bent - Porter, Furlong, Clarkson, Abdaladze, plus McGrath Is switching Porter to loosehead either necessary or a good idea? We have - excluding Healy - Byrne, Dooley, Milne and Hannon, and one of the reasons he switched to tighthead was because he wasn't actual...

Re: Are Leinster an offloading team? Does the Leinster attack lack imagination?
As of the end of last season, teams that offload the least and kick the most, win the trophies. These things are cyclical though. At one point all the winning teams were the offloading teams. By 2013 through 15 though, the game became a kicking game when Australia, Waratahs, Ireland, Saracens, Leins...

I'd start TOB in the centre, either spot.

A lot of mediocre to poor play from us in the first half. Halfway to the bonus point though!
