Re: Leicester v Leinster Sat 20th 3.15 TNT Sports
I had to jump on again because as someone who still reads the site it gets on my wick that the same poster who was responsible for all these comments (last one stands out in particular given the Molony chat) constantly calls out other fans for their lack of respect towards players. I tried to ignore...

Re: Johnny Sexton, thank you for everything
Gutted for him to go out like this. You could always see how much it meant to him and not just for himself but for the fans as well. If I could go back in time to watch any team it would be Leinster under Joe for those first two seasons. You were guaranteed fireworks every single week and Johnny was...

Re: RWC 2023 Ireland v NZ
Unfortunately I’ve felt the need to login to vent yet again. I’ve also self flagellated and rewatched the game so you all have to suffer with me too! This feels different to other years in that we certainly fired a few shots and were up against a team playing outstandingly well, but it doesn’t make ...

Re: Heineken Champions Cup Final 2023
From my perspective of having surprised myself by having got to watch the game, bar the first two tries, we were well beaten by one point. Watching it in the hospital I had a slightly dispassionate view on it, it is only a game, and we need to rethink a bit. LR play a fairly simple plan a lot of th...

Word of advice for everyone, don’t quit the forum while Frank is still reffing. It’s been over 24 hours and I still haven’t been able to vent properly, just a matter of time before I explode. But congrats to Munster and best of luck in the final. Welcome back!!! If you have a post to spare take a t...

I'll leave you to it
Decided a while ago that I'd hang up my keyboard once I reached 15,000 posts and it seems like the time has come. I've toyed with it a few times over the years but have been pretty set on it for a while now. I'm just busy with a few things and it's a good time to go. Being older than all the players...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Sat 3rd December 19.35 TG4
I've said this a few times at this stage but that Healy red incident is essentially him being punished for an environment that World Rugby has created. If they want to cut these accidental clashes out and fairly punish the tackler then they have to tell them they can't tackle above the nipple line ...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Sat 3rd December 19.35 TG4
I’ll probably be in the minority here but thought the red card was harsh. Healy wasn’t fully upright and it’s not like he was charging forward. It’s a subjective thing so I could understand if the ref didn’t think there was ENOUGH mitigation but I certainly don’t see how there wasn’t ANY mitigation....

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
Joey’s defence for that try was appalling. Hodnett had the guy with the ball well covered but Joey bit in for no reason so Mata was able to waltz past him. He’s had the intercept and then at least three terrible kicks where he was either standing deep or still so had no choice to do anything else. T...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Sat 3rd December 19.35 TG4
I've been assuming the internationals (plus Osbourne) will all slot back in in various positions but I wonder if we'd back Turner to start in midfield? I'd quite like to see him tear into that Ulster midfield with his tackling. Right now I'd say his most likely role is as 24th man but I'd like to se...

Conan showed signs of return to his best in his appearance off the bench v Oz. It is clear that Doris is best at 8. Neither Conan nor Deegan are great at 6 so effectively the pair of them are battling for the role of Doris's backup for the crunch games. It's an incredible wealth of resources in the...

Re: RIP Doddie Weir
Very sad. Like a lot of people the Living with the Lions doc was a big thing for me when I started getting into rugby and a character like Doddie really made me want to be a part of it. His attitude was amazing during his illness, somehow never lost that cheeky look on his face. RIP.

Re: Leinster v Ulster Sat 3rd December 19.35 TG4
Deegan’s tackle when he chased down the quick tap was quality. Great pace and great timing to wait til he’d gone 10m. I liked his run at the end as well, he just looks very fit and quick at the moment but also looks quite bulky. Great to see him putting everything together and fingers crossed he’d s...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Sat 3rd December 19.35 TG4
I wouldn’t be rushing those two back either but I’d also leave Ringrose out for this one. Totally understand why we wouldn’t but he ended up playing pretty much the full three Ireland games so I’d save him for Europe. If Lowe and Larmour are back then JOB could play 13. I’d be tempted to give Josh a...

Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but you’ve been the staunchest Luke defender/JGP critic on here. Why, in a thread about our Glasgow game, would you have a pop at him for his performance for Ireland? Luke has had a few great games. It really is fantastic to see him back to his best. As for selec...

Re: Leinster v Glasgow Sat 26th Nov 3:15pm RTE/Premier Sports
Thought Clarkson was excellent around the park yesterday. Scrum was a bit of a mess but to me it looked like Ed, who didn’t have his best game, was the one struggling early on and then the ref gave out to Kelleher. Clarkson certainly struggled in a couple of scrums but it definitely wasn’t all him....
