Re: Munster Thread 2012-2013

Joking aside it is an interesting shift in the world order at club level, Leinster teams are flourishing in the AIL which makes a difference for the academy players on the teams. Shannon and UL Bohs dropping down a division doesn't help Munster rugby, doesn't help the Munster Academy and doesn't he...

Re: Ulster Thread 2012-13

The ref was right to bin them both. I'd have given Trimble an extra 5 minutes for looking like he was flapping a wet haddock at Williams. Fair enough with binning them both, Trimble has done the fake hard-chaw against us before too. But doesn't change the fact that Williams is a horrible piece of w...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

That's not the only head scratching piece he wrote for today's IT. I'm not even sure what he was trying to say in this bit: Unlike the desk in front of him when he was unveiled to the media yesterday, Schmidt has not even planted his legs under the table yet, and so there was little in the way of i...

Well, fellow Blue Ladies, as his perception appears to matter greatly to him, I propose that we allow Golf Man to have the last word on this engaging sideshow.

Perhaps all those in favour might indicate their agreement to this proposal by refraining from replying. I thank you.

Managed to watch most of the game. Fair dues to the Consters who deserved the win - just. Fair dues to Cronan Healy too - that was probably about his 999th game for Con and his 65th cup winners' medal.

if you took half the foreign legion off the French clubs youd get every decent French player from bottom half of the league hoovered up by the top half they lose Zirakashvili, Cudmore, Hines, James, Sivivatu, Nalaga, Byrne they sign Mas, Thion, Pape, Stades 10, Martial, Teulet etc Alas, the wonderf...

Christ that's nasty. Lucky it didn't happen to a turnip or the wails of outrage would be heard on Uranus.

Has the citing deadline expired yet?

Serge is about as much involved in the HEC draw as Lance Armstrong is.

Believing otherwise lies in the realm of tinfoil hats, giant lizards and a belief that Romain Poite is a good referee.

Might that shocking assault by young Dave's head be the reason why the Ginger Whinger was unable to train all last week?

Congrats to Joe, that's excellent news for Irish rugby and disappointing news for Leinster rugby supporters. Ni feicimid a leithead aris, I fear. For me, Joe agreeing to help the IRFU to extricate itself from the ticket-selling crisis that it got into courtesy of the O'Sullivan/Kidney puke-rugby yea...

By the look of Turnipfans.com, there'll be no tarmacadam spread anywhere in Munster this afternoon. Most of the larger Limerick off-licences have already started rationing cans of Bulmers; only a dozen cans allowed per customer.

Strangely satisfying to see Shannon (complete with Marcus Horan) being nilled by Young Munster and thereby all but relegated yesterday. Lansdowne are travelling to Limerick to play them next Saturday and hopefully they'll perform like the Champions that they are.

We don't know the contents of someone else's head, and it's not all that interesting to speculate, we do know he did something he had no right to do. Everyone else appeared to be standing back as he had been taken out in the air in the first place. Why would he do it? Well if you insist on speculat...

I'm not so convinced as everyone else on the citing and disciplinary process as it currently stands. Yes, the league brought in a new citing process a couple of seasons ago (I believe it was after Shane Jennings' lawyer successfully argued that, according to the rules at the time, the league had no...

As others have said, Montpellier is a great spot to visit.

Last Saturday's Irish Times had an article about it that may be of interest to some intending travellers:-

Well, as long as smokers, heavy drinkers, druggies, todgers and people living near (i.e. within a 150 km radius of) the toxic dump in Cork Harbour have to pay a heavily loaded premium, then I'm all for it. :D
