Good stuff.
Would that make it a reasonable punt that he may be released after Super Rugby commitments then?

Re: Leinster 2014/2015 Squad
Douglas is a three year deal apparently. Hopefully that's some good strength and depth in the second row sorted for the medium term.

Re: 4 years ago today
That was the greatest sporting day of my life. Nothing will ever top that. It just so happened that it was my team in one of the greatest sporting events ever with an incredible atmosphere, but even if I was a neutral that day I don't think I'd ever forget it. Edinburgh was relief. Cardiff was elati...

Re: Leinster A versus Leeds
He's supposedly been training with us for most of the season. I hadn't heard of him until recently, but looking back he seemed to get some game time in the A inter-pro's. Have no idea how good or otherwise he is, but MOC knew about him from back in Oz and invited him over. He has a highlights reel (...

Re: RDS on Saturday
We will need to turn up this weekend if Glasgow take up 4-5k tickets as per the rumour. And we'll definitely need to bring Molly. Molly only really tends to appear when the team are on fire and someone is in the process of being properly 'Leinstered'. Hasn't happened much this season sadly. BTW I h...

Are you sure about that? Must have my timelines mixed up, was almost sure he did..Dave Cahill wrote:Gaffney never worked with Joe, nor did Joe hire a defense coach, he did both jobs himself

Re: Next years coaching staff
That's my view. I'd actually be looking at an attack coach. I wonder if its reasonable to suggest that Joe came in to work attack sessions given the Ireland context..... I don't think so, regardless of the Ireland angle. I know how I'd feel if my bosses told me they were bringing in my predecessor ...

Nigel Owens gets the gig. Pretty happy with that.

Re: Leinster 2014/2015 Squad
My take on where we are for next season.. Forwards: Loose-head : Superb quality and depth Hooker : Superb quality and depth Tight Head : Very good quality, perhaps could do with one more young player coming through. Shame about the chap off to Munster, he could have fit the bill. Lock : Very good qu...

Re: Dave Kearney, torn ACL.
Gutted for him. More so it gives opportunities for others on the Argentinian tour, but he's had a massive season, really stepped up for us when needed. Missing himself and Luke really highlights our lack of options in the back three - all the more when so many Leinster back three products are playin...

Re: Next years coaching staff
MOC taking on a fair bit of the workload. He's done a lot of work on our defence, but wouldn't mind seeing a specialist backs coach coming in.

Re: Kane Douglas has signed.
Very happy that this has been finally confirmed. Massive coup given the stage in a world cup cycle. MOC can take full credit for that signing and hope it works out for us now.
Would love to see us sign a decent prospect in the backs now.

Re: Leinster V Ulster
Let's not bring in "He's old and the other lads are just tremenjus!" We were dominated at the breakdown when it really mattered, couldn't get out of our half with the ball in the first 40, didn't turn over ball from relentless pressure, I seem to recall disruption just about got us out of...

Re: RDS on Saturday
Did anyone see the Ulster fan ejected from the Anglsea stand about 20 minutes into the game? I couldn't tell if they were Garda jackets are steward jackets, but about 4 or 5 shiny jacket people had to remove him from his seat and there seemed to be a hullabaloo in the section around him, which I wou...

Best atmosphere at the RDS for a long time. Other than the final last year of course (also against Ulster), struggling to remember a better atmosphere. The "fan" debate can rage on, and the singing initiatives and "new traditions" and what have you, but there's no question we're...

Re: Time to go MOC
The Madigan / Gopperth debate this season has come down to picking which one is less sh*t. Neither are good enough to start in a top class team this year, although Madigan saved our season off the bench tonight. It's not a case of driving eachother on though, it's a case of each playing so poorly th...
