Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster

I’d have Larmour at wing.

Guy has rounded out his game and added in the work that an Irish winger has to do. Next up he just needs to step an entire team and score for the general public to notice him.

Re: New contracts for coaching ticket

The same could have been said for Goodman.

He seemed to do okay.

We aren’t just hiring grizzled old lag but going for the young guys on the way up. I think that makes us a very attractive place for young, ambitious coaches.

Re: A whiff of Cordite

I was saying I didn't have any issue with him Lenihan is an enthusiastic fanboy. I have no problem with that but it was funny to see him so starry eyed. Actually I do have a problem with him: he talks over the ref explaining why he’s calling it like he is, making up a wrong explanation himself whic...

Re: Lions v Leinster - Sat 20 April, 14.00 - RTE2

I don't think there's any way we cut Molony. Maybe we didn't give that strong an offer. He's not getting capped or all that likely to get capped. If it was Munster they'd be raging against the IRFU for not picking him so they could keep him easier. We don't think that way. I mean Fineen Wycherley h...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

Watched Saturday's game again last night. Normally I find Lenihan to be fairly balanced but can't stand the sound of Cahill's voice. Surprisingly thought that Cahill was the balanced one on Saturday. Lenihan sounded like a child that spent the week before Christmas in Santa's toy factory and then w...

Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster

It's actually not particularly fair on Munster or Ulster. They need help more, but we have a stronger case to that we'll get a return on the investment. If the IRFU gave Munster an extra million euros, what could they do with it. Is that enough? Agree with this. Jackman was talking about the potent...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

Which “journalist” asked Leo, in the press conference preview for the game, about O’Mahony’s contract? I thought Leo’s answer was perfect. I hope whoever it was realised how stupid and inappropriate it was, and felt suitably humiliated. No chance. I attend a lot of post match press conferences for ...

Re: Rumour Mill

I was thinking that he won’t be driving season ticket sales and they will be far more reliant on knockout ticket sales next season.

And he’ll be around to drive those sales.

Re: Leinster Squad 23-24

Heard murmurs of Charlie Ngatai which would make sense. In the same way as Mike was signed to facilitate Porter moving across, I can't imagine Jordie Barrett doesn't also come with the proviso of losing a Frawley and/or Harry to Ulster and Munster Barrett isn't the sort of player you get to make up...

Gotta laugh at all the whinging about RoG being booed. Make no mistake, this is nothing more than pandering to Munster fans, especially people from Cork. Leinster players booed often in TP down the years. Leinster players given nicknames like Daverage and Kneeslip. Leinster referred to as Ladyboys....

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Saturday 13th April 2024 at 5.30pm RTE2

To be fair on McRae his side of it is that O’Gara attacked his testicles in the previous two contacts they had in that game. He was defenceless at the time. I have seen myself O’Gara doing stuff like taking a detour on the way back to rejoin play to stamp on an injured player so his story may have ...

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Saturday 13th April 2024 at 5.30pm RTE2

I’m seeing online today a raft of people calling out Leinster fans for booing ROG and then referring to his years of service as Irelands 10 as if this should make him untouchable. They should realise that we love this team as much as they do theirs and his performance after last years final was sim...

Re: Semi final Croke Park

In 2009 they went straight on public sale and sold out fast. I was travelling back from the Stoop and missed out. (Got sorted in the end) That wasn't public sale... It was season ticket holders only (after the 2006 debacle). And remember it was a 50 / 50 allocation... And a lot more hype right at t...

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Saturday 13th April 2024 at 5.30pm RTE2

The gate money from the quarter-final is split between the two participating teams (as is the previous round) but the semi-final ticket revenue goes to EPCR. There used to be, under the ERC, a situation where, if you moved the game to a larger ground the gate would be split 60-40 provided the away ...
