Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023

I hadn’t realised that Jager’s contract is up now, surely he must be on move? He’s starting for the Super Rugby champions, there must be a good reason why he hasn’t been signed up. Maybe he waited to see if he made the NZ squad before committing? This is something that Munster and the IRFU should b...

Re: Trends

Remove the option of opting for a scrum for a any kind of penalty award and as suggested above allow the DG option.
One benefit would be no more penalty tries being awarded for persistent penalties at a series of scrums.
Before the next RWC would be great timing.

Would Marshall still be Irish eligible? I'm guessing not.
Bent, if he is still playing, would be a useful emergency call up.

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

I'm shocked HB was selected. I thought if you weren't going to bring Burns or RB then next in line was Ben Healy. Also feel we are light in the front row. Given the 5 games are in close proximity, one injury to a front rower and you could be asking a lot of the other 2 fit guys. If Furlong goes dow...

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

McCloskey is an interesting non selection. The one thing that Ireland need badly and that McCloskey brings to the team is Leadership. In particular big match temperament Leadership. He has consistently raised his game when playing for Ireland, quite close to being MOM even. Faz doesn't care for lea...

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

The clock has to ticking on HB too. Most of the times he didn't feature in the Leinster 23 were because he was injured, ie the selectors didn't have the option of picking him. HB is in the category of "he is considered a great player until he puts a string of games together" History is bei...

Re: Friday's rant

Toulouse win Top14 quarter-final with all eight forwards replaced in second half. Racing 92 beaten in Top14 quarter-final as they only replace seven forwards in second half. The game has changed but the French League has made a mockery out of the fifteen-a-side game. Could not agree more. The eight...

Re: Leinster v Bulls Friday RDS 19:35 TG4

Looking at the distraught looks and upset on the faces of the players last night was sad to see. Leinster unfortunately hit a dip in form at just the wrong time. Probably being favourites in everyone's opinion didn't help neither did the win against Glasgow. We've a young squad basically so these ex...

Re: Leinster v Bulls Friday RDS 19:35 TG4

That's the most disappointing performance I've seen this season. I said after the La R game that power was our issue. I was right. Other posters on here poo pooed me saying it. I hope they can see it now. We have lovely footballers, but no answer to powerful teams. Extremely disappointing. Question...

Re: Leinster v Bulls Friday RDS 19:35 TG4

Yet again the chasm between Jonny and Ross is so clear. Ross isn't standing quite as deep as usual but he just offers no threat on the ball. His kick for first try was lovely though. Lowe is a big miss too. His strength especially down the blind side would be so useful against this crowd. Scrum goi...

Re: Supporters First - Replacing The Scourge of Stadium Announcers

This probably isn't going to make me any friends but the problems with atmosphere at Leinster, and Ireland for that matter, games aren't really anything existing fans can fix. I'm going to speak in general terms btw so there will obviously be exceptions but in general its accurate. In general the p...

Re: Leinster v Bulls Friday RDS 19:35 TG4

I rewatched the game and can not understand the negative review of R Byrne. He had a fine game with one or two errors. His passing is top notch and I'd have him as number 2 to Sexton in NZ with Jack Carty 3 and bring Frawley as possible cover. Burns and Carbery should be on the beach. He put no sha...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023

Addressing a few comments. Anyway who thought JVG would be a good appointment doesn't know much about rugby and therein lies Munster's problem they have consistently got the coaching ticket wrong and when they got it right they didn't back him and allowed him to be undermined (Penney) "inQuest&...

Re: United Rugby Championship

TBH lads a dream team debate isn't worth the grief so I'll leave ye to it. Tis a fairly simple question that you don’t seem to want to answer. Other than actual league form, what criteria do you think should be used for this season's league dream team? Fair play to you, you understood my message.
