Re: Munster Rugby - Semi Conscious, the Series Finale??? - 2020/21

https://www.the42.ie/jason-jenkins-munster-5394809-Mar2021/ Where's Deco? So he isn't upset, or gutted as I would have been had Leinster lost. He is resigned that this is Munster's level - I can't even slag him anymore. He may be right, but I think he's missing the obvious: He slags Leo as being on...

Cullen also confirmed that David Hawkshaw picked up an ankle injury in the win against Glasgow Warriors and had a procedure last week. He will be unavailable for a number of weeks as a result.

Jesus that boy is getting no luck. At least its not his knee.

Re: Leinster Academy 20-21

Gladwell talked about it and like most things he vaguely understood it. 10,000 hour rule being another. It's not considered that much of a thing in LTAD as far as I'm aware. You'd have to assume all parents are procreating evenly across the year and so many other things for it to be nearly so much ...

Re: Leinster Academy 20-21

Noticed a lot of player birthdays recently, looked up the academy and the volume of players born in the 1st half of their birth year compared to the 2nd half is notable: Ryan - 3rd Feb Milne - 5th Feb McKee - 15th Feb Soroka - 19th Feb Clarkson - 22nd Feb O'Reilly - 26th Feb Deeny - 3rd Feb Hanan -...

Re: Leinster A '20-21'

Best player on pitch is a Leinster boy ...... unfortunately its Izuchukwu He's been superb. Whenever I see an explosive athlete at the lower levels I look to see if they're involving themselves in the game or just being chucked the ball the whole time. He's been reading things brilliantly and looke...

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1

Wouldn't agree with that at all. I think he has been really good. Agreed I think the problem with DeAllande for some less educated fans is that he doesn’t carry 100 metres a game and smash opposition, so they equate this as being poor. I have also heard this from Johnny come lately Munster fans, so...

For a marquee player on top tier cash, de Allende has not looked value for money, outshone by centres on half the cash.

Re: 2nd Row going forward

While Fardy has low mileage for his age and is playing in a position where some can play at the highest level until about 40, he's looked a bit slow since the season resumed and is 36 now (37 by end of the season). I wonder is he in decline? On the other hand, it might be that it's taking him time ...

I don't like or have much respect for farrell and his hubris ...but without doubt, he is a good rugby player. nowhere near the class of Johnny Wilkinson and others who have played 10 but do you remember the lions documentary when oconnell was captain and farrell had only started shaving? oconnell p...

rewatching, looks like Baird was calling the lineout, big responsibility for a 21 yr old.

Re: Munster in the Aviva, August 22nd, 7.35pm KO

Would agree with a lot of the sentiment on here. Thought we looked rusty but that's understandable. Reffing was a bit lopsided. Toner's yellow was harsh and Sexton was right, the ruck was absolute chaos. Scrum was solid and I thought we had then on the rack a few times. With another ref could've go...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins

What was most noticeable for me was Saracens' inability to convert nearly half-a-dozen 5m scrums or 5m lineouts into tries. Apart from one right at the death they never really looked like scoring tries from them. Also clear was the gap between Wigglesworth's kicking game and that of Aled Davies whe...

Re: Leinster Rugby's historic 2017/18 double-winning season

Not sure what people expected this to be? Dressing room footage of bust-ups and high drama?! It was always going to be a mix of highlights and player interviews. I enjoyed it to be honest. Particularly Isa's bits and the little insight into Stuesdays. Also blaming Leinster's media output for it is ...
