Does Sarries cheating and sanction mean we actually won? There is no salary cap for any teams in the HEC so no cheating. They won it fair and square. If they had abided by the salary cap in the Premiership they wouldn't have been able to put out the team they played against us - eg Liam Williams fo...

Re: Toulouse vs Leinster
The day after. We sit on six points and our toughest game in the group is out of the way, we are not in the worst position at all as some have already said. My personal deflation comes because we let Toulouse off the hook. I get that Toulouse played with flair I am sure it was one of the games of t...

Pretty much anyone who tries to tackle Nadolo who has a run at you has no chance.....he brushed Henshaw and others off with ease as all...wixfjord wrote:Byrne missed 6 tackles and made one. Madness.

Re: Leinster v Montpellier, Saturday, 1pm, RDS
Shows the depth in the squad that we can get a Bonus point with Fardy, SOB, Leavy, Heaslip, Sexton, Ringrose, O'Loughlin, D Kearney, Rob Kearney missing the from the 23 man squad and Isa going off early

Re: Pre-season friendlies
Judging by the piece in the 42 last week, Leo sees Fardy as a guy to bring on Molony and Ryan and to lead that front five. I do worry slightly though about our tight game this season against bigger sides (like Montpellier). Hopefully Toner can step it up and Rhys will continue his form. Surely havi...

Re: James Lowe signs for Leinster
Will he be our first out and out speedster since Hickie left? Him and Byrne on opposite wings could seriously stretch defences (assuming Byrne shores up his defence)

Re: James Lowe signs for Leinster
A back 3 of Lowe, Byrne and Carberry would provide us with some serious attacking threat at pace.

Re: Rumour Mill
In terms of backrows I'd be more inclined to let Ruddock/Ryan go. Remember next season we'll likely have to deal with Heaslip, SOB and possibly JVDF coming back from the Lions and will need a lot more time off to recover.

Re: Munster v Leinster St Stephen's Day 5.30 Sky/TG4
A slight tangent but Interestingly, Les Kiss has gone for using the bulk of his Internationals tomorrow against Conn. I wonder will that mean a rest for them for the RDS game on New Year's eve? I can see the logic of keeping your powder dry for the home game in front of your own supporters. We shou...

When you look at our front 5 options we have a couple of slight weaknesses. Tracey at hooker, Bent at T/H and McCarthy in the scrum. Sensible component is to split them up so would anyone want Tracey/Bent and McCarthy playing together?

Re: Leinster vs Castres Sat Oct 15th @ 15:15
Leo rightly commented on Leinster's under par maul defence. Interestingly, we only tried one line-out maul in 80 minutes, and it was motoring until an error (by Devon?) Our maul has been very strong in the past few years, wonder if we were keeping it under wraps. Could see a few against Castres, es...

Re: Leinster v Munster Saturday 2.05 Sky/TG4
I find it hilarious the thought's at times when players don't get picked for specific games that they're dropped etc....In the backrow we have Leavy, VdF, Murphy, Ruddock, Heaslip who need to get gametime, come back from injury, be rested etc all through the season. So of course there will be games...

Re: Glasgow v Leinster Saturday September 10th 3pm (Sky)
Very disappointing to get nothing from that performance. Like the Argies this morning our patterns and concentration dissipated on 50 mins and Glasgow have the skills and teamwork to capitalise. More detailed analysis of why it happened requires a second look. Maybe Glasgow were that much better, a...

This game has 1 purpose - to give players a run-out before the 6Nations and other players to get a runout before the 6Nations to get the prepared for the Pro12 games during the 6Nations.
Give Teo/Ringrose etc a week off to rest etc
