Re: Northampton Friendly

In the Blue corner: St Mary's team captain Darragh Fanning In the Green Corner: Star of the Lions tour George North I think George North is about 5 years younger aswell North will enjoy ruffling 2nd string players hair as he roars triumphantly after touching down in a 50-3 win. Seriously, I don't t...

Re: Northampton Friendly

Bent got 10 mins at the end of the game last week. Not sure which side. I think Loose though. Good to see that Luke McGrath and Dan Leavy are ok. They were re- replaced by the starters last week. Hopeful that Fitz and Darce will get a stint next week. More players on the bench than starting. He is ...

I've seen it too (well a picture of it). The swirly bits this year are what I call the blue magic swooshes. If you have one of the car stickers from last year's ST pack, you'll know what I mean.

I won't be if it has a negative impact on Leinster.

Re: Joe's replacement IF he gets Ireland job

Club Rugby magazine the are tweeting that "word is that Joe Schmidt has signed on the dotted line new Ire coach". Bugger. Jaysis. Surely that's a good thing? Not great for Leinster but unbelievably (TM Woodie) good for Ireland. May work out OK for us too. Probably have a more understandin...

Re: O'Connell not cited

I once had lunch with a "local representative" who insisted in having the beef, the turkey & ham, and the salmon with accompanying veg/cabbage/spuds mush, all at the one time and price! The poor guy serving was looking around for the hidden camera! I bet he returned for the apple pie ...

How else do you cook cabbage? :(
Boiled cabbage is the work of the devil. I can eat it raw, sauteed or as sauerkraut, but cabbage boiled into submission makes me gag.

I'd say that the novelty value of seeing Eoin Redden at tighthead and Leo Cullen on the wing would soon wear off.

Re: O'Connell not cited

For what it's worth, here's my take on it. Do I think POC deliberately set out to injure DK? No. However I do think that there was sometimes a lack of control in his aggression on Saturday night. On occasions you'd almost be forgiven for thinking that Leinster Rugby had kidnapped his family before t...

Re: O'Connell not cited

thats where it ends because Clermont are going to toss them around like an U-12's girls soccer team. I wouldn't be half as sure of that as you are. Yes, Clermont are a better all round team than Munster at this point in time, I don't think there's too much argument about that, but this is knock out...

Re: O'Connell not cited

Can't imagine that there wouldn't have been a citing if Leo had kicked Zebo in the head in such a way. Also, I'm pretty certain that if the incident had been that way round, then all hell would have broken loose with the Munster forwards piling in from all over the field throwing digs, to let the re...

Sorry, meant to say that my thoughts are with the Kearney family. Nobody should have to see their son hit like that while lying prone and unprotected. Nobody should have to listen to all the shouts of "pity the poor assailant" afterwards either. That's disgusting and shameful. Compare thi...

Don't hold your breath. At worst he'll get the same very mild slap on the hand which John Hayes received a few years back for looking down and and stamping on Cian Healy's head at the RDS.

Re: Pro12: Munster v Leinster, Shelbyville, Sat 13th

So if Munster are rubbish and the game isn't that important, why do we need to play our best team? I wouldn't be writing Munster of for either today's or next week's matches. On their day they have enough to beat a Quins team who are experiencing a bit of a dip in form and they can certainly make o...

Re: Pro12: Munster v Leinster, Shelbyville, Sat 13th

For this match I'd start with Carlos Madigan and have Johnny on the bench. For 2 reasons, firstly match fitness and secondly I think it sends out the wrong signals to the wider squad when an understudy is replaced, after some superb performances, the minute the numero uno is fit again.
