Re: Saints away 7th December
I'd forgotten that Saints were top of the premiership as I was watching the game, but it really is quite extraordinary that we scored 7 tries against them away from home. And that was despite a sloppy first half that we were all giving out about on here! Imagine someone coming to the RDS and doing ...

When Sexton has been on the pitch, we have scored a try every 13.86 minutes.
When he hasn't we have scored a try every 35.75 minutes

Re: Sean O Brien
Given how highly SOB and Isa are spoken of in terms of their influence on standards and contribution to meetings etc, even when not playing, do we know who are the future standard drivers within the squad? Clearly Sexton is one, but who else from the group will take up the mantle? James Ryan. I'd s...

For Ross Byrne, it may be Leo giving him extra game time to put himeslf in the picture for Ireland. It's a risk but I get the feeling Leo will always try and help someone's international prospects.

Will be interesting to see what side we put out in the RDS for the Pro14 semi. I'd say it will be a bit of a mix and match with guys like Ross Byrne, Adam Byrne, JGP, Deegan, Molony (if fit) coming in. I'd agree with the above, adding Molony, Porter and Rhys to the above gives us far better bench o...

Re: Leinster's Long Term Fullback Post-RK
If Rob does retire Post WC... it leave the following senior options at fullback next season: Barry Daly(27) - Signed contract in 2017 Cian Kelleher(25) - Signed contract in 2019 Hugo Keenan(23) - dev contract Jordan Larmour(22) - Signed contract in 2018 Jimmy O'Brien(22) - dev contract Ciaran Frawl...

Re: Leinster v Toulouse Sunday April 21st 3.15
Peter O'Mahony has just under 1,600 minutes so far this season which isn't far off the sort of galactic numbers that the supposedly flogged England starters have. Owen Farrell is at 1,665, Ben Youngs has 1,444, Elliot Daly has around 1,953 minutes and is an outlier. POM's numbers wouldn't be out of...

Re: Semi Final ticket prices
[ Nowhere near a million to rent the stadium - isn't it normally about 15% of the gate? Just saw an article by Gerry Thornley stating it's €300k for renting the stadium. Attendance for last year's semi is listed as 48,455. There were loads of complaints last year so they may review it this time to ...

Might be a good opportunity to get HOS & Lowe some game time if they're thinking of playing them in the semi final. Will we see Deegan get more time at 7 too?cormac wrote:Can't imagine we'll see too many of Saturday's team for this game.

Re: Semi Final ticket prices
The EPCR have to pay quite a bit to rent the Aviva (is it €1m?) so I expect that has to be factored in to the ticket price.............................. I'd happily pay over the odds for a home semi final every year! What about the 1,000s of empty seats in the upper east & west last year vs Sca...

Re: Semi Final ticket prices
Another semi final rip off to be expected. Last year I estimated a 40-45% premium between Lyon in 2017 and the Scarlets semi in the Aviva last year. I raised it with the branch and various people and it is impossible to get any justification. It is simply EPRC riding us and we happily cough up year...

Re: Edinburgh Away, 22/03, 7.35pm
Bit disappointed over the lack of a citing for the tip tackle on Noel Reid, given some of the things we've seen red cards for this year that looks a bit out of line to me. Agreed. He seemed to land on his shoulder and head at virtually the same time. I would have thought it would be worth making pl...

Re: Wales v Ireland 2019 6N (The Match)
The bigger concern I have right now, after reading reports on the post-match interviews is the seeming lack of soul-searching - the weather, the roof, the ref, the Irish press for printing the team a day early, a ‘bug’ - all at fault, but not a suggestion that there was anything wrong with the coac...

Re: The Nugget
A number of line outs lost yesterday, including over throws and missed timings Do Best and Scannell feel under pressure that they might dissappear from the 23, as poor old Nugget did the previous week. For all the talk of the need for strong scrummagers, the Munster Front Row did themselves no favo...
