Re: Ireland U20's 2022

I surprisingly agree. On a provincial biased note was really pleased to see the Hadden (LH-U19) perform so well against a big Irish pack. Prendergast is also U19. Next year could be an interesting 20's with the big 2 in Ireland. I thought Hadden was pushing for motm. Really solid performance from h...

Re: Ireland U20's 2022

Gibbons, McCormick, penalty try and I think Wilson. McLoughlin was my MOTM. Prendergast looks real quality and won it with a kick from the half way line. Unreal kick to win it from Prendergast, but for me McLoughlin was MOTM. He looks like a massive prospect. I surprisingly agree. On a provincial b...

Re: RFU reviewing “Swing Low”

This brings to mind the old joke about how "paddy" emigrated to England and managed to raise the average IQ in both countries.

He looks like Kendellen here.

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

I listened to the Molecast at lunchtime. It was the one from the morning of the Maori game. They really should be getting a wider audience as the provide more insight into Irish rugby than the talking heads on the other podcasts that are floating around. Then again, they would have to dop the "...

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

I count it that Leinster have 1 front row player from another province (McKee)

That says it all.

Re: RFU reviewing “Swing Low”

Amongst the dribbling bullshit posted by Carlowman about brexit there is a truth that English people are unlikely to have wanted to leave to cause harm to Ireland. They simply didn't (and don't) give a f%~k about Ireland; we never crossed their mind in all the jingoistic flag shagging that went on....

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

I’m led to believe that the relationship between Jackman and Leinster is fraught at best. He claimed that he was left to swing in the wind by the province following his concussion issues and Leinster (Mick Dawson) was quite surprised by this as they felt that they had done everything possible to sup...

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

The throw in to the lineout just before NZ's first try was dreadfully crooked. As in the NZ catcher had to reach out to his right to get it. NZ played the ref well in the lineouts, they got pinged early on for closing the gap but knew that he wouldn't keep penalising them so immediately went back to...

Re: RFU reviewing “Swing Low”

I dunno chaps, I think we're being too harsh here. Look at whats happened since Brexit. Northern Ireland has a Sinn Fein plurality, the Scots are looking for another referendum, even the welsh are revolting. The Union is tearing itself apart as it sinks further into irrelevance, poverty and social ...

Re: RFU reviewing “Swing Low”

Em…. I don’t know where the bit in bold is coming from, they left because they were conned by a reasonably catchy campaign and a second rate Winston Churchill impersonation. Plain and simple Not sure how the bit in bold came about as it doesn't show that on my reply so I wasn't trying to accentuate...

Re: RFU reviewing “Swing Low”

Brexit has nothing to do with it. As an irishman living in England I've never heard one English person suggest that they wanted brexit because of the effects/implications/damage it does to ireland or the orusj people. English people voted fir brexit cos they were sick of being dictated to by people...

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

Joe McCarthy is a punt on the future rather than the now. I think Prendergast will benefit from today despite the difficulties that he had. Same goes for Tom O'Toole. But it's sad to see the inevitable decline in Earls and it's beyond belief that he was presented with a further central contract.

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

In fairness, that isn't exactly a quality Irish team. Go beyond our first 15 and we are looking for the best of the rest rather than lads who are screaming for inclusion.

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

I'd love to know who's plan it was to travel for 5 games in NZ with 40 players. I'm sure the coaches wanted more so it's either NZ Rugby or IRFU(Nucifora)
