Re: 6 Nations 2021
Would lowe be better at full back at international level?
Should porter be switched to loose head with an eye on the world cup.

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
Ok maybe 1 too many moving but if anyone thinks nucifora is going to leave deegan as 3rd choice 8 and connors as 3rd and penny as 4th choice openside long term they are very much mistaken

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
It'd still leave us with 6 ruddock murphy baird sorka 7 leavy jvf 8 Dorris I wouldn't be a fan of it from a leinster perspective but from an irish rugby pov itd make sense. You could have starting backrows at each of the provinces of the below. Create great options for the international team moving ...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
I think it obvious that back rows need to move for the benefit of irish rugby in general. If you are being objective it'd make sense for penny and deegan to be sent to connacht and conan and connors to ulster. Maybe one of the other provinces could send us a winger(conway maybe) or second row (thorn...

Re: England v Ireland 21 November 15:00
Thought ross byrne was very disappointing yesterday, the worrying thing is the game was made for his skill set and he didn't seize the opportunity. He should have been kicking all day, corners cross field kicks etc. I think it's a mental thing at this level now as much as anything. Gibson park looke...

Re: Ireland v. Wales, Fri 13 Nov, 19.00
Against england I think there is a strong case to play quinn roux in the second row for the first 50 minutes to ensure our scrum is solid, I would equally make a case the POM should start maybe at 7 for the lineout. We know what england will do (power game) so might be a case of a horses for courses...

Re: France vs Ireland, 31 Oct - 8pm
I think we played ok stander, ryan, healy keenan and bierne going well but....The following would be of concern Connors again seemed to lack the power to deal with the french pack, same as against sarries. We need dan leavy back. We have no back up at 9 & 10 and when things are going badly we have n...

Re: Leinster V NG Dragons RDS Fri 2nd Oct 20:15
Ruddock should be in the team at 6 every time, especially against the big English and french teams, he gives us that bit of dog in the pack.
He just smashes people. Him leavy and dorris the future Leinster backrow imho.

Re: Leinster v Salarysins
We were very nieve today, first half was crying out for us to play low risk rugby and play for field position. Possession for possessions sake is not a good thing. Sexton didn't control the game at all which is becoming a regular occurrence against the top teams. The pack got beaten up, we need to s...

Re: Pack size problems moving forward?
I think I would rather have pace and footwork rather than size with the way the game is going. Especially if they start enforcing the offside line like they are since rugby started back in new zealand and we move to summer rugby with dry fast pitches.

Re: Pack size problems moving forward?
Porter will definitely switch over to loose Head within the next 2 seasons. That'll give the pack a lot of size. Him Kelleher & Furlong would be more powerful than nearly any other front row around. Do we really Think that Baird when he is fully grown will be anymore light weight than Toner. Backrow...

Re: Ireland u20 2020
They really play everything, it’s exciting and brave. Some of the most enjoyable games to watch were last seasons U20’s looks like this year could be similar. Crowley another one for the conveyor belt, they really need to move some of those young 10’s to other provinces for the good of Irish rugby ...

Re: Ireland 2020 and beyond
I feel the two main problem areas of the team are the back row and back 3. Teams know they can kick us the ball as we have no counter attack strategy whatsoever. This gives them an easy out. The back row isa big problem, POM seems underpowered to be a blindside these days, probably 7 or bust. CJ nee...

Re: RWC 2019 Warmup Games
While yesterday was extremely worrying, any rugby player will tell you at this time off year you can run into a team that are just that bit further on in their preparations and are more match hardened than you are and you can get beat out the gate. This doesn't necessarily mean you are in a bad posi...

Re: Italy v Ireland Sun 24/02/19 3pm
Spot on on leavy, he is a hybrid of van der flier and SOB. Excellent ball carrier like SOB but with better footwork, fast to the breakdown like josh and a turnover machine. We really miss him. Could we be trying something different with conditioning at the moment, we look flat almost a yard off the ...

Awful performance lucky to get away with it.
Earl's isn't a centre, poor defensively, some nice breaks though.
What about trying Stockdale at full back

Re: Leinster v Ulster
That was a shocking Ulster team. Worst I've ever seen them send to play us so hard to judge how good people played. The pick of our players were penny and obrien. Two observations/concerns for me. (1) Frawley plays very far behind the gainline which makes it difficult for the rest of the backline. (...
