Re: Dragons Away, 19th Feb, 7.35pm

Bairds having a fairly mixed bag here - 2 very weak failures to clear ticks leading to turnovers

Re: 6 Nations 2021

Lets be honest lads and ladies. Does anyone really think that our coaching set up are capable of getting more out of the Irish squad than Joe did? Depends what you mean. From the start of 2019 until the World Cup's completion? Absolutely. Up 'til the start of 2019? Not a chance. That’s a fair disti...

Re: 6 Nations 2021

Lets be honest lads and ladies. Does anyone really think that our coaching set up are capable of getting more out of the Irish squad than Joe did? Not at all. And I think that’s what underpins the frustration people have. At a macro level, running Wales close, away, with 14 men and losing by 2 v a ...

Re: 6 Nations 2021

Murray Kinsella and Three Red Kings have put up a series of clips of occasions where poor passing or decoy running ruined overlaps. It’s astonishing stuff - head height passes, behind the shoulder passes, grounded passes, lads running “decoys” that suggest somebody at home is more likely to get the ...

Re: 6 Nations 2021

There’s limited value in analysing the arse out of a game where you lost against a materially better team but what’s concerning is the continuation of themes: - complete lack of an attacking plan, or, at least, the complete failure to execute a plan. - we’ve yet to see (please correct me here) a gam...

Re: 6 Nations 2021

We have no attack game. Less than that we actually have an attack game that’s hurting us. We won the scrum battle and edged the lineout one by taking some of their balls. We had hours of possession and acres of territory. We fluked 1 try. All we do is fire first phase ball to Henshaw who trucks it u...

Re: 6 Nations 2021

Some real positives to take from the game. I thought Healy, Porter, Henshaw, Keenan and Henderson were really good and the bench was really good. Beirne was absolutely fantastic. I've never seen him as an international second row, never thought he was big enough (still not sure against England or S...

Re: 6 Nations 2021

We lost that game solely because of OMahoney. We were actively avoiding playing rugby til O'Mahony went off - I wouldn't be so sure. Think he even gave away 2 of the 4 penalties conceded before he was carded. I hear what you’re saying but I can’t see how the respective levels of the teams for the l...

Re: 6 Nations 2021

We lost that game solely because of OMahoney. We failed to pull off a miracle win because of the assorted errors, Barnes decisions etc but - looking at the game from 15 mins on - it’s clear that if we’d stayed with 15 players we’d have won handily. It’s almost impossible to judge or critique any ind...

Truly believe Keenan is becoming one of the finest FBs in Europe. Impressed with Molony in this game too.
Zero errors and value add on almost every involvement. He doesn’t LOOK like a world class player but another season like this and he’s up there

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1

Munster have improved a good bit this year but we’d have won this by 10+ with our team / form of 2018-2019. The drop off this year is quite marked

Re: Leinster v Connacht Sat 2nd 19.35 Eir Sport

Our lineout has been a disaster across matches, seasons, throwers, second rows and lifters. It’s no one players issue - it’s a unit skill and the fact it hasn’t been resolved is a significant black mark on the coaches No, its the hookers. Not one of our hookers could hit a cows arse with a banjo. D...

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM

Surely there can be an acknowledgement that a 5 point haul is unimpeachably a good thing while concurrently accepting that we played quite poorly at times? Beyond that, bad days happen all the time and expectations, weather, changes always contribute however concurrently many of our failings are now...

Re: Pro14 - Sooner SA teams the better

Regardless of quality or team selection of whatever - the welsh fans hate the league. We can argue why they’re full of ah!t all we want but when one of the 2 main fan bases (no disrespect to Sco Ita SA) havent bought in then there’s an element of hostage situation about it.

I’d absolutely pick Luke Rhys and Tracey against Georgia - not necessarily to start. All play in areas where there are questions over incumbents and all are playing well

Re: Leinster vs Cardiff, Nov 22nd, 5.15pm

Regardless of how he is performing here - talk of H Byrne getting capped next week we’re way premature. Just like they are for Casey and Healy in Munster. They’ve no portfolio to back up international caps. Baird at least has a couple of Heineken caps. Carty RByrne Burns are all rightfully ahead of ...
