Match Preview: Leinster Rugby vs Glasgow Warriors

by Jim O'Connor, 2014-02-28

Leinster take on Glasgow tomorrow in their final game before a two week break for the end of the Six Nations. Results-wise, the last three games have been perfect with a maximum return of 15 points. The performances have wavered in quality somewhat and last week against Cardiff, it was very up and down. After a storming start from Leinster, Cardiff came right back into the game by taking advantage of some woeful Leinster defending. Leinster made a better start to the second half but again let their standards slip once they had built a commanding lead.

And we're back!

Leinster return to action in Italy this Sunday, after three weeks off. As with their last visit to Italy in November, this game will be massively overshadowed by international action. That time Leinster were in Treviso quietly winning while Ireland lost heart-breakingly to New Zealand. At least this time the games aren't directly clashing with Ireland playing Wales on Saturday afternoon.

Match Preview: Connacht Rugby vs Leinster Rugby

by Jim O'Connor, 2014-01-03

After two fairly dismal performances in a row they turned up in an angry humour versus Ulster and took them apart. They brought a real physical edge to everything they did and really should have won by a larger margin. When the teams were named Ulster seemed to have the stronger hand, but the men from the North never looked as if they believed they could win. True, Leinster should have put more scores on the board, especially in the first half when they dominated possession and territory but it was still a massive improvement on what had gone before and the win put Leinster back into second place in the table.
