Match Preview: Leinster Rugby vs Glasgow Warriors

by Jim O'Connor, 2018-02-16

It's a rare and unusual treat for Leinster fans as they get to go to the RDS for the third week running.

However as we're back to Europe but not playing an English team, it's also back to the poxy kick-off times.

One o'clock on a Sunday is hardly a time that will generate a great atmosphere but Leinster just need to keep focused and ensure they get the win that could win them the pool this weekend.

Match Preview: Leinster Rugby vs Connacht Rugby

Well, well, well, wasn't that a lovely Christmas present!

Hands up, I certainly didn't fancy Leinster's chances on St Stephen's Day against a near first-choice Munster side. The home team looked like they agreed and turned up like the game was already won. But the young Leinster side took advantage of Munster's insipid first half performance and in taking them for 27 points in the first forty, they laid the ground for a fantastic win.

Leinster made life very hard for themselves last week against Exeter with a rubbish first half performance. But they showed some character at least to recover in the second half and earn the win to put them back in pole position.

Match Preview: Leinster Rugby vs Exeter Chiefs

by Jim O'Connor, 2017-12-15

As confidently predicted here last week, Leinster stormed to a glorious victory over Exeter at Sandy Park last week (just trust me on that, don't go back and check)!

In fairness to Leo Cullen he picked a team to grind out a win and grind it out they did, out-Chiefing the Chiefs with the relentless pick and drive game in the second half. Exeter were a tough team but you could see the difference on the night between a really good club pack and a top international pack. Exeter possibly froze a little on the night and Leinster really could have been out of sight after the first twenty minutes.
