Those damn Ospreys!!!

Leinster had their most successful season ever last term. They won the most games, lost only four all season and retained the Heineken Cup after going unbeaten throughout that competition. With two of those defeats coming in the first three weeks of the season while the World Cup was still on, their record is an even more impressive 1 defeat in their last 28 games.

After the heroics of Bordeaux, Joe Schmidt had the luxury of being able to change his entire starting fifteen for the trip to Newport to play the Dragons last week. The fixture was pretty much meaningless as Leinster would finish top of the league regardless. However Schmidt would still have been delighted that his young team were able to win at a tough venue like Rodney Parade. It meant Leinster finished off their regular season with their best ever record of 18 wins, 1 draw and just 3 defeats.
