Match Preview: Leinster Rugby vs ASM Clermont Auvergne

by Jim O'Connor, 2012-12-14

Last Sunday's match was definitely filed under "the ones that got away".

If offered a losing bonus point before the game, most Leinster fans would have taken it. However, Leinster put in such a magnificently brave performance in Stade Marcel-Michelin that both players and supporters left the arena thinking of what might have been.

Ever since the draw for this season's Heineken Cup was made, this was the game supporters of both ASM and Leinster were looking forward to the most. by Jim O'Connor, 2012-11-30

To do that though, they'll need to beat Zebre.

Match Preview: Ospreys vs Leinster Rugby

by Jim O'Connor, 2012-11-02

After Brian O'Driscoll teased us with fifteen minutes of top quality breaks and offloads last Saturday, his ankle ligaments gave out. With the agony he was in clearly visable on his face when it happened, the post-match spin that it was just a sprain sounded too good to be true. Unfortunately so it proved and it's surgery and 8-12 weeks out. Whatever about the autumn internationals, his loss for the Clermont double-header, along with Rob Kearney who was ruled out last week, is a massive blow.
