by Jim O'Connor, 2014-04-10

Thursday night rugby is back!!!!

To the intense joy of nobody in particular, save for maybe one or two TV executives. But hey, we're stuck with it and at least the players and coaches can now take the weekend off and maybe head out for a few scoops for the England-Ireland game on Saturday.

Match Preview: Leinster Rugby vs Newport Gwent Dragons

by Jim O'Connor, 2014-02-28

At this time of year the Pro12 is inevitably over-shadowed by the Six Nations championship, especially when Ireland are going well. However the points earned at this time of year still count exactly the same when they're totted up at the end of the season. Last season, after a stuttering first half of the season in the league, Leinster used the four-game period around the Six Nations to drastically improve their league position.

Match Preview: Zebre vs Leinster Rugby

And we're back!

Leinster return to action in Italy this Sunday, after three weeks off. As with their last visit to Italy in November, this game will be massively overshadowed by international action. That time Leinster were in Treviso quietly winning while Ireland lost heart-breakingly to New Zealand. At least this time the games aren't directly clashing with Ireland playing Wales on Saturday afternoon.

Match Preview: Leinster Rugby vs Ospreys

by Jim O'Connor, 2014-02-13

As predicted here, last week's game turned out to be a tight, grind of a match dominated by penalty kicks and tight defence.

Eh no, wait, hang on...

In my defence, who could have seen that crazy rollercoaster of a match coming?

Match Preview: Castres Olympique vs Leinster Rugby

by Jim O'Connor, 2014-01-10

Two games!

This coming Sunday Leinster play Castres and then five days later they take on the Ospreys.

Win them both and Leinster will be in the quarter-finals, possibly with a home draw if other results go their way.

Win one of two and they'll be in a desperate scramble to qualify at all, although again it will depend on how the other games in the pool go.

Lose both and they'll be out!
